NEW: 1st Kompressorkit for E9x - wintertuning offers 71 more HP for 325i!

Hello, found this on the website from the german tuner "wintertuning":

http://wintertuning.de/index.php?opt...111&Itemid=112

It´s not explained how they reached the power increase of 71HP to 289HP for BMW´s 125i/325i models but the pic (under the cover with the winter-lable) and the huge power increase could meen that they had developed an kompressorkit for the n52 engine.

At this point I'm cautiously optimistic.

It just says Leistungskit, which means "Performance Kit." It doesn't say anything about a Kompressor.

They're probably putting 130 or 330 intakes with computer tune, exhaust etc to get the added HP out of them.
Besides, 289PS is only 285hp. If that's the case for them adding a supercharger - it's pretty sad. I'm at about 270 with CAI, throttle body and exhaust.

I don't believe ANYTHING about a super/turbocharger on here for our cars. It's NOT going to happen. Valvetronic kills this option dead.

I said "Good day."

Totally agree, how does the Dinan TB perform, does it help? and what is CAI?

I heard the Dinan actually lost power in a car that installed and dyno'd it.

I can imagine that there would possibly be a hp loss upon initial installation. It takes the car about 100 miles for the computer to recalibrate for the additional air and for you to see any benefit.

That being said: I love the CAI and the throttle body. Everything fits perfectly and seems to be working great. There is no real change in sound, but the car definitely revs more freely. Dinan spends a ton of time engineering their products. Part of the reason why they offer 3 year, 36,000 mile warranty on their products. Their CAI has the same design as the new M3 - it gets cold air from down low on the front facia.
I also have their exhaust. It is fantastic! Perfect combination of sound when you want it and quiet at cruising speeds with NO resonance at all.

FYI - the throttle body is only for the early e90 cars 9330 and 325 I think).
