Yeah most of them..

VIM is only available for CIC module. I'm not sure, if you have CCC or CIC on your car.

It's just if you have the old style blocky iDrive interface, or the newer slicker style interface.

I've got an early 09 (mfg date of late 08) 328, and I've got CIC (newer style interface).

greg that is weird, did you get a CEL light or is this from reading the code? When I did that mod I would get that code but no lights

Pretty sure all MY08 have CCC so you won't be able to get VIM, but everything else will work.

What about it you take your car in for service? Would that erase codes as well?

Nope... The regular oil has no impact to the coding unless if they update the software during the oil change. You could inform them not to do any software updates.

Dealers can not find out the codings when they hook your vehicle into their system unless if you do any retrofit coding that includes any new VO (vehicle orders). If there is a difference in the VO then they would suspect.

Please do not do any crazy things like this..

I won't i have a bmw not a civic. I wanted some of the normal things done like folded mirrors while locking. Rain sensor closing sunroof. Digital speedo. Can Pre lci vehicles get turning signal coded so just angel eyes illuminate
