There is a guy on here NJ1161.

He has just vinyl wrapped his M3 and it is a CAT D and I think he has a CAT D before.

I think he will assure you it's not a problem.

PM him I'm sure he will help.

Good luck, nice car.

Every extra? .. errr no

It's at least missing the active cruise control, adaptive lights and front PDC , so there is about £3k worth of extras it aint got already .

So many people are efficient with the truth when it comes to the "HUGE SPEC "/ "EVERY EXTRA" ads. £17k max IMHO

I highly doubt a car of that value would be written off for minor front end damage.

Having seen a few cat d write offs of late, some have quite serious damage.

Once I find something wrong with my car I start losing interest. I could never be at ease buying a write off.

I did see this car when the insurance company was selling it and the damage was nothing major. It went for too much so did not buy it.

The front wings are a completely different shade to the doors. If it was that good a repair job they'd have at least blended the paint into the doors

Does look very nice.
Really love the look of a E91 LCI M Sport.

Not sure on that diffuser tho... looks good on E92's, but the E91 suits the standard one imo.

Its got no leather seats, so defo not got every option. Hate it when ads are all in block caps....

As said no leather, or met paint. I wonder on a car like that what the spec was from the factory, I wouldn't mind betting its a mish mash of retro fit bits....

Not everyone wants or needs leather. Also if you are loading things in the back of an estate do you really want the leather on the back seats scuffed all the time?

Maybe the person likes the Alpine white? Don't see how this means the vehicle is a mish-mash? It has i-Drive and an auto box and 313's, so it's not like the person was skimping.

It comes up as an M-Sport, so the original buyer must have specced the chrome.

A Cat D is usually worth around 1/3 less, is a 2010 335i touring worth £28k??

Probably more like 22/23, so 15/16k?

Well there is one with BMW, so years warranty, just 6 months older, still facelift etc. at £19k.

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classifi...80ab?logcode=p

So Cat D I would expect it to be worth around £13k max.

Yeah If it was my money I wouldn't pay anymore than 13k due to the category status and that reselling after a couple of years of ownership would lose a hefty sum especially with the f31 model out.

An accident damaged car value is fully dependant on the quality of the repair work. As pointed out it would seem there are a few items missing already and you could only value it by viewing, inspecting and driving it. Photos are never enough! Some repair work maybe so poor that it is worth salvage value only.

On the otherhand the work could be outstanding and you get a cheap car (this one is expensive imo). Don't forget some cars are repaired by insurance companies that maybe as bad as a CAT C or D, just they had been assessed differently and deemed 'repairable'.
