4 wheel burnout

The last snowstorm we had i turned of DTC and DSC. I dropped the clutch 1st gear on about 2 inches of snow and did a burnout.

1. Did I do a 4 wheel burnout?

2. Is this bad for the drivetrain?

Thanks!

Don't get his hopes up. It was a 5 wheel burnout at most.

1) You did a 4 wheel-spin. The purpose of a burnout is to increase the tire temperatures for drag racing applications. (or to be cool on youtube for internet props)

2) It cant be good.

3) I dont foresee this thread going to well for the OP

1. Maybe a 1-2-3 or 4 wheel spin depending on available traction and electronic interaction

2. Yes
That's what I was curious about. Since I turned off all electronic aids does that mean all 4 wheels spin?

the purpose of a burnout is to have fun, make smoke, leave tracks, be a douche, etc.

i dropped the clutch on my xdrive 335 with the traction off. i did a quick 4 wheel drive burnout and got the tires warm. probably never doing that again as the car is pretty much brand new and its not a lease. if you are at the track, and you want to warm up the rubber before you do a quick one, go for it. if you want to kill your drivetrain and make a worthy video, i say its better not to.
