you have to decide how much you want to spend, and if you have to have height adjustment. Then you can make your decision.

technically they're all "coilovers"... but anyway, the coilover setups you see basically offer adjustability for height and in most cases damper/rebound too. Also, the legit coilovers have springs that were specifically designed to be paired with the shock bodies that they're attached to. For the majority of people, separate spring/shock combos are perfectly fine and sufficient for street use. "tuned" for street is just dumb talk by people who think they race but all they do is drive like idiots on the streets.

I'll be shot down for saying this, but if you really value a smooth ride, then you need these:

http://www.roadandtrackbyohlins.com/products/bms-mi00/

People will tell you ride with their suspension 'upgrades' is virtually as standard, but having lowered several cars in the past with spring/damper combos (Eibach + Koni yellow; Eibach + Koni FSD; Eibach + Bilstein) I can tell you the ride will be harder.

Ohlins is the only set up I've come across which gives you excellent handling improvement and a silk smooth ride. Costly, yes, but as in so many areas of life... you get what you pay for.

Just my five penn'orth...

I want to see the E9X setup that is NOT front coilovers....and options that are, rear. To be honest, I've seen exactly one rear coilover setup.

If it wasn't 'noticeable' I would not have bothered posting. I am talking about the kind of jarring over bumps that in the long term ends in back pain...
