What to do in Ocean City, MD?
I'm thinking of heading up to Ocean City, MD for the labor day weekend. Never been there.
Any recommendations on activities? Restaurants? Dos and Don't's? TIA.

Sad to see strip clubs are not legally allowed in that area Any other recommendations for good wholesome summer fun?

Or take Rt 404 which will route you thru Delaware and drop you on the North end of OC, something like 133rd St not only will the traffic to/from be bad, but once you get there, the main street will be bumper-to-bumper. many take the bus up and down the street since it has its own lane to get from place to place.

Thanks all....
I guess I'll just leave early to avoid (most of) the traffic.

if you like the crowds, go to the boardwalk.
If not, stay away from that place. anything below 35th street is going to be packed. Go rent a jet ski. There is a paint ball field too. Go to an all you can eat seafood place or just eat crabs until you pass out. Have fun and bring pics

Also, bring a few issues of the Roundel magazine to read while stuck in many traffic jams.
Bring toilet paper too... just in case those crabs don't settle well in you belly.

Don't tell me you have a 'shit-in-your-pants-in-traffic' story to share, Spoolio...

To answer you Vince, A friend of mine was caught in such situation on 495
on one of those... "grass grows faster than moving traffic" days. He..."released" while stuck on traffic and "enjoyed" such situation until he got home about 1 hour later. I CAN NEVER FORGET THAT STORY... hence my suggestion to anyone to bring some tp just in case. I really do not want to have 2 friends go thru the same. Guess a change of underwear would be another item to bring along. hehe.

Traffic to the beach hasn't been too bad this summer(i've gone just about every weekend i haven't been traveling on). Take an EZ-pass and at least hit up the boardwalk if its your first time. Its a cool town

I always leave Baltimore at at least 7:30pm and usually make it to OC by 11pm on a Friday night. EVERYONE tries to leave early which is why I don't even bother leaving work early on the Fridays I'm going to the beach.
My favorite bar by far is Fish Tales on a Saturday night. It's right on the marina on 21st? St. It is more of local, younger crowd, but it is very relaxing. Macky's is my other favorite for Friday nights because I know a couple of their cocktails waitresses. Cambridge used to have the cheapest gas, but I think Trappe now has that honor. It was cheapest there coming back at the end of July. I was hoping to go to the beach this weekend, but it doesn't look too promising for me.
