Running them currently in my E90 LCI very nice result didn't even need the additional plug (smaller one in picture) no errors no fault codes. One thing though I need doing is recode my rings not to dimm when headlights are on as these will dimm. Had them in since August no problems

Whats the difference between these

They are both listed as the required fitting for the same cars? (LCI with xenon)

Where do they go? The xenon headlamp parts lists on realoem don't show any angel eye bulbs, only the halogen headlights list a ring bulb.????

I've seen photos on here where people incorrectly identify the inner directional light H8 bulb as the angel eye bulb...

My understanding is they both do the same job and fit in the same socket.

The difference is in the design and the V shaped units are supposed to light up the two halo rings more evenly. But if anyone knows different?

Part No.2 is the ring bulb in the Xenon light unit. It's rated at 35w.
