Erm, to discourage us from buying M3s on the business maybe?? And to get us all into golf bluemotions and HDI citroens, works a treat really.

You could ask about DCT, if leasing privately DCT is cheaper.

EDC I agree.

I would rather the 18s than the 19s, looks better and feels better imho.

Indeed, as Lex would say

There is something about and M3 that only a handful of cars manage to offer.
That is the difference.

Just deciding at midnight in December, while it is wet and windy to go for a 2 hour to the coast and back, not something I would ever have done in the 335i, but something that seemed quite normal in the M3.
Until you have owned one you just can't understand then properly, it takes a few weeks of ownership to start to 'really' get an M3, it took me a year to start to realise that it was me bottling it well before the car did, and when I got that it turned it into a whole new animal.

I could enjoy the M3 up round the coast roads and not once break the speed limit, not something you can do in the 335i.
That for me is the real difference between them.

Couldn't have put it better myself

agreed, it's very much like the Mercedes C63AMG deals - if your happy to jump into a stock car, then your grabbing a 'bargain'

If you want to start adding on essential extras then you will be back to 'normal' price.

In which case they should be honest and call it a "green tax", because as giZZe says, it is no longer taxing the "benefit in kind"......
