Smile New BMW owner - introduction :)

First I wanted to express that I am a great fan of the community! I think this website and forums are a great source of information and I am happy to be a part of it.

Secondly, I wanted to introduce myself (the name is Carlos) since I've been lurking on e90post since I got my e90 07 335i back in November. For those of you that know the Houston area, Joe Myers Ford had my car listed for 22K but I got it down to 20.8K (car only had 44K miles then). Before I jumped the boat on what seemed to me a too good to be real deal I took it to the Woodlands BMW dealership to get it inspected and to my surprise I found out the car was in great shape and still had CPO warranty until 2013! The SA literally told me "te sacaste la loteria" which in case some of you don't know spanish means "you hit the jackpot". So I went back to Ford and signed the deal right away!

I had it stock for about a month and have done nothing but a few aesthetic mods, just the normal black kidney grills and tint. Also some cheap mods...ebay angel eyes (which I regret so dearly spending my money on) and I also platidipped my wheels. So bare with me if you are all not fans of Plastidip but I do think the wheels look nice!
I would like to black out the chrome window trim next but I dont know how I should go at it.

I also would like to do some performance mods so I'm open to hear suggestions to what you all think I should do.

So here you go some before and after pics of all the mods.

Gahhh too much black IMO. Not for me, but nice clean car.

If you want a quick boost in power, COBB is the way to go. It's literally plug and play.

As for looks, I've always loved the 313 19" wheels on any dark colored BMW's. The chrome trimming isn't difficult, just look up under DIY and you'll find what you need.

Enjoy!

I think those rims are unappealing they way they were, so I actually like what you did with them. Why do you regret the angel eyes?

Man, I could never stand the guys at Joe Meyers when I went in for parts on my 04 Tacoma. It's like they'd do just about anything to milk every last dollar from your wallet. But good choice on the car!

1st thing i would do is paint wheels back to stock color or gun metal at least $21k is decent price if car had no accidents.

accident or not this guy has warranty and at that price you cannot go wrong. I would probably bought it if i was in the market but good call on inspecting it. I would never buy a BMW 335i w/out warranty.

Congrats, nice car.
Get your window trim vinyled, shouldn't be too expensive and you can always go back to stcok chrome.

i bought mine one year ago with 3 year warranty, 30k miles, and fully loaded 6-speed coupe for $27.5 (was about $27k-27.5k in book without warranty), that car in book now is $22.2 (clean title)

not that it matters....just saying that accident changes resale value alot. hope your car is clean.

Thanks, I thought of going after market but I am afraid of voiding my warranty. As for the rims, what do you think of these?

Well those angel eyes do beat having stock lights, but they are not bright enough. I mean they were $40 so you get what you pay for but I just wanted to try them out. I want to go for something brighter. I'm just having trouble deciding what angel eyes to get.

Oh, you wouldnt believe how much they insisted on one of their warranties...they even went as far as telling me how much I would regret not buying one from them.

I did have an issue with their pro owned sales manager when I found out they didnt put a new battery in the car like I asked them too. He basically said the deal was done and he was not going to replace a perishable item. It really upset him cuz he said he would before I signed the paperwork. I had to make a big fuss and threat him that I was gonna go outside and talk to all the possible customers to get him to agree to give me a new battery.

Hey and since you are from Houston I can hook you up with my SA over at the woodlands, that guy is great! He'll take care of you.

Yeah guys, the Carfax report showed a clean car. No big issues, and it was well serviced. No HPFP issues, it was replaced through recall though. I am the 3rd owner. The original drove it for around 38K miles in 3 years and the second owner drove it for 4K miles in one year which I thought was strange but I figured it could had been an older person or something.

Congrats on the new ride!

I met a guy last night in the grocery store parking lot who has a 2008 335i - he says he has a 30k mile warranty so he keeps his miles low as long as he can - he has 13k miles only! Not sure if he got it used.

Is that Cream Beige Dakota? I have that too - good for the summer months ans I know you have them in Houston, lived there for 2 years
