Support me in the 2011 Bike MS Chesapeake Challenge
Hopefully this thread won't get deleted, but I wanted to share something that I do every year. If anyone wishes to contribute, it would be truly appreciated. My wife and I are a few weeks into our training, and less than 2 weeks left till our ride.
------------------------------------------------------------------------- Every hour of every day, someone is diagnosed with MS. That's why every year my wife and I ride in the Bike MS Chesapeake Challenge, and I'm asking you to support my fund raising efforts with a tax-deductible donation. The weekend of June 11th & 12th, I will once again ride with the Verizon Fios team and join over 800 cyclists to ride in the Bike MS Chesapeake Challenge. I will be cycling to raise money for the National MS Society and its mission to end the devastating effects of MS. We will again ride for one of my past co-workers, Melvin Campbell, who has battled MS for many years. You can help support my efforts by donating via the link below. My personal goal is to raise another $1500 (which would make me a Top Crab for the 8th year in a row!!!). I hope I can count on you once again to help me reach my goal. I'll keep you updated on my training and let you know how my adventure turns out! The National Multiple Sclerosis Society is dedicated to ending the devastating effects of MS but they can't do it without our help. It's faster and easier than ever to support this cause that's so important to me. Simply click on the link at the bottom of this message. Any amount, great or small, helps to make a difference in the lives of people with MS. I appreciate your support and look forward to letting you know how I do. Anyone who is willing to join our Verizon Fios team, please let me know and you can start peddling with us! Verizon employment is NOT a requirement; we take anyone who wants to ride for a great cause. Click here to visit my personal page. http://main.nationalmssociety.org/si...s_tafId=130691

Thanks, you should take the money you were going to use for new rims and give it to me

My bike ride went well this past weekend. The weather held up with no rain, although quite humid. My wife and I were able to complete our ride without incident, although some of the 100 milers were cramping up in the hot afternoon.
I am proud to say that our Verizon Fios team is well on its way to raising more than $10k again this year, making that $230k+ over 13 years. Thanks again to those who supported me; my current and past co-workers, family, and friends contributed big time towards crushing my goal of $1500! The actual bike ride itself is way down the list of things I look forward to every year for this event. It’s amazing to see so many people who take the initiative and make a difference in fighting MS. This event grows every year, and gives hope to the 6700 people in MD alone who suffer from this disease. It’s still not too late to contribute, as the deadline is July 1st. Please use the link above or contact me for more information. Thanks for letting me ride on your behalf.
