Silver or Black

My old lady still has some shine to her. Tried giving it a new look, made wheels and front grille black. Which do you prefer?

Those rims look very cheap in black. Maybe for snow tires. Bottom picture looks more classy. Rear needs spacers.

i think the wheels either need 20mm spacers out back to make them look good in black or just keep them silver but keep the grills black. car looks super clean though!

Blah, plasti-dip or even just matte black wheels look gross to me sorry, and the size/style of those wheels don't help. They are the same OEM wheels that came on my car.

If you are keeping those stock wheels, keep them the silver color.

Black grilles look good, and matte actually matches the rest of the trim on the car.

However, with that said, its YOUR car, do what YOU want to it.

I agree with you on the wheels. I prefer a gloss black entirely. But The aluminum rims were becoming yellow from years of brake dust and trying to keep them clean, now all i have to do is hit them with a hose and its fine! Also I would like a newer bimmer if I were to invest in some nice wheels.

Silver is probably better than black on these rims. Maybe go for extra gloss - seems like the plasti dip looks cheap easily.

You my friend have never met Sonax. Go buy a bottle, hit your wheels with it and you'll be blown away with how clean it makes your wheels.

And for the life of the rest of us on these forums PLEASE get rid of the black wheels. It actually hurts my eyes seeing those.

And while we're on the subject, a pair of 15-18mm spacers would clear this right up

Any idea where to get spacers? I'm all for them if they're easy to install/buy.

Also, where do I find Sonax? I've never heard of it!

Search is your friend. Here's where you can get Sonax off of Amazon...

http://www.amazon.com/Sonax-230241-W.../dp/B00KS5JJ4A

Spacers can be found on Turner Motorsports website or on the classifieds section of these forums.

keep them silver. much cleaner look! I personally think its difficult to appreciate black wheels without some sort of contrast. and i agree with the guys who suggest getting spacers.
