Full I-Drive Retrofit!
*** UPDATE 1/29/12 ***
Got some new pictures for you guys and update on the stuff, all has been good! Loving it so far and wondering what i would've done without this stuff! I actually always wanted to get this but the one thing holding me back was high cost and finding a fully capable person of doing it. I finally found out there was a Montreal company selling the full retrofit kit conveniently near me (Bimmer Retrofit). At first i was alittle hesitant because of the cost but after asking 3-4 dealers , his prices were very competitive and i guess being local the shipping rates enticed me. I told him the only way i would order it is if i knew someone locally in Toronto that could handle it since i think requires not only knowledge of doing it but experience of doing it without breaking stuff apart. They recommended me to JR Electronics in Oakville and had all my stuff delivered to them directly. These guys were the best, they charged me very good price and worked pretty quick. 2 days later i have everything setup and running so i'm extremely happy without any problems or hiccups to the installation. Highly recommend since they did very quick / fast / good priced job for me. Doing it is one thing on top of that you need to program it too! Here are some pictures check it out! Next in line possibly Combox addition! I would definitely bring it back to these guys again! Check them out http://www.jrautoelectronics.ca/ (Talk to Jarek for all your installation / coding needs without the need of going to the dealership) & http://www.bimmerretrofit.com/ (These guys got some crazy hookups for the equipment and got me some good prices with shipping for me in Canada)

I have a 06 330i that when I bought used looked high and low for a fully loaded black/black with premium, sport, titanium inserts, etc., the only option I wanted that I couldn't find in one with my other "needs" was Idrive... I WANT IT... wondering if they have a kit for the 06 330's and what the cost would be.. I live in Vermont so Its not totally out of the rhealm of me getting to their location...
My question is, How do I go about getting a "installed" price quote. Thanks in advance! |

Thats a hell of a project, I've though about doing it but I never looked too deep into it. Could you PM me how much it ran you for parts and labor, and what was involved to make everything work in terms of coding. Thanks

I didn't see a trunk shot, but I'm assuming they put the GPS receiver in there?
