hahaha so true. i just ditched my gti recently. they fixed the diverter valve issue with the revised TSI motor. i never had any issues with the engine but people with the FSI engine had at least 5 recalls done to their cars.

another problem with vw/audi is the DSG transmission. it really feels like a manual when you're at a stop. let off the brake and you feel like the car is going to stall and all of a sudden it jolts forward. i'm glad i left that scene. i honestly thought i'd be worry free with my new N55 but damn... i guess it's true what they say about euro cars.

I just got a letter in the mail the other day from Mini, they are having problems with the HPFP on turbo motors as well. They are extending the warranties to 120k on the 2007-2009 turbo models

All car companies have problems, from sub compacts to exotics. They make thousands of these cars its good that we dont have more problems, considering the amount they build.. A car is just plastic glass and steel and miles of wires and electronics, things happen.

So you're mad that they gave you an extended warranty?

haha, probably not. Busy season is coming so the car will be parked a lot more. I took a 4400 mile road trip to ali a few weeks ago. Texas to cali is a long ass drive...

I was getting high on the 2011 135i DCT which I drove. Now I have to take a step back and wait to see what develops. Same sad story.

I have experienced a couple long cranks (2-4 seconds), sad to say... But BT tool shows no errors... One was about 300 miles after picking up my baby, and the other was at 1000 miles...

Just curious did anyone ever reported HPFP failure on 535i? My neighbor has one with over 25K and has no problems what so ever. BTW my car has check engine sign and runs little rough. Could be second pump going bad. Will see.
