Cobb tune!

If you guys haven't had the chance to try the Cobb tune, I would recommend it. I've had the JB2, JB3, PROcede V3/V4, and now Cobb. It is so smooth and consistent compared to all the other tunes. Also it is very easy to install/uninstall for warranty related services. Just saying.

Right now I'm in sport mode. Each map had 3 modes. I am seeing about 13 psi. The lag is still there but you won't feel boost kick in because it's do smooth.

13 isnt too rough for our altitude either, this is interesting. Does it have a mode with a little less, like 12-12.5? Smoothness is a great thing, I think its where the flashes will take over as the tune of choice. AFR #'s look good and everything too?

From waht little searching I did that seems like it may be the 'drive' map. I wonder if thats more of what I am wanting...smooth yet a little more power over my jb+ and a little more over what the BMW performance software does, im looking for about 12psi max, on my car stock I think thats about perfect without hurting the turbos longterm, wouldnt you say? Serious question about that, since we all know how easy it is for us to get the siren up here. My only real complaint with the measily jb+ is the not so smooth ness once in an odd while and the perceived 'lag' that I get due to the fact that the car has lag at our altitude and it makes it a little more noticeable in the lower revs, 1500-2500rpm or so.

Yea, but it will always be there at our elevation. The one time I had my car at sea level in Cali, the car was a BEAST without lag. The car doesnt have lag at low elevation, or if it does, its not obtrusive at all. The car was

Nice to hear Vincent, thanks for the review. I always had a feeling the flashes would do better than the piggy's at our altitude, and it seems that is the case.

Cobb is what I will be going to in the spring...I have been thinking about it for a while, and from the Vincents' reviews, it just reinforces what I was planning.

Still trying to get use to it. Funny that it lets you store up to 20 maps. Why would you need 20 maps????
