Crank Sensor....Cause for all issues?
Went to start the 335i yesterday and it took longer than normal to start after hitting the button( knew something was wrong) then the dash lit up like a Christmas tree.
I was getting DSC,DBC,Transmission malfunction,Start Assist inactive,Reduced power, etc on the Idrive screen. My Indy scanned it and said that the Crank sensor was bad. Would the Crank sensor cause all the issues? Anybody else have this issue? Just want to make sure that something else isn't lurking behind these issues. I have a full warranty,so not cost to me for anything else that may be causing this. |

If you have warranty, then just get the sensor replaced and see how she runs.
Something like this could be as simple as replacing the sensor or could be many other extremely scary and expensive things. While they're down there, have them check that the crank pulley bolt is not loose. |

Thanks guys. Just wanted to give an update.
I did have a bad crank sensor and a bad boost pressure sensor. Never noticed it before, but it seems like there is more take off power from a stop than before. |
