Does JML or any shopping channel do a vacuum bag big enough for a car??

What I do is park it, lock it, then open it 2 weeks later.

It's a pisstake, it must be. I left my car for 4 months and thought nothing of it - neither did the car: it started right on the button when I got back.

Two weeks. FFS.

Well thanks for the advice and comments.

Yes I am being serious and OCD, but that's just me*

Its only 2 weeks I know, but whats to say I'm not
going to store it for longer in the future? So any tips might be handy in the future.

*the car is important to me as a passion and the thing I use daily,
its the most expensive thing I own and all the car I've owned, everyone who see's it
says its immaculate to the day its sold. So I want to keep it that way if possible.

Would I be out of order to say park it, lock it, forget about it for 2 weeks. Wash it when you get back.

Thats not OCD, thats a problem on a different level! I am pretty certain a lot of people on the forum share an equal or even greater passion for their cars than you and maintain them to an impeccible level. I love my car a ridiculous amount and always get comments saying its in fantastic condition but preparing it for a 2 week storage like this is insane.

As others have said, wash it, leave it and come back to it. Simples.

This is a just car, not a family member or a pet! Just park it, leave it, come back and drive it. Is that so difficult?

You got responses to a question which was quite frankly rediculous, If you'd asked how to store a car for 6 months - you might have got some more sensible answers but 2 weeks is bordering on a mental health issue if your considering the suggestions in your first post.

I went to Singapore for 6 months. Don't wash it. Charge it and enjoy washing it when you get home.

Well I guess I'm the only one in the world then.

What's next, am I going to get banned for
asking a genuine question?

What's with all the flaming and anger people? Bloody hell man.

Maybe I should rage-quit this forum.

I don't see anger or flaming; just incredulous responses that you'd consider doing anything special for such a brief period. Are you proposing to do something if you just go on holiday?

As I said, I left mine for about 4 months with no ill-effects but you could argue for extended periods of lay-up that increasing tyre pressures, battery-conditioning and a dust-cover could be justified but TWO WEEKS??

I can assure you that BMW did nothing to it when it sat outside the assembly plant, on the ferry, at Thorne receiving and so-on for a period as long as that if not longer.

Well I have stated I was being serious. But whatever.
And I did state afterwards, whatever I might learn,
might be useful one day for when I do store it for longer periods.

Also how do you guys know where I live?
Maybe its a dodgy area?
Maybe the garage is damp?

That's why I asked about all different questions,
just in case there is stuff I shouldn't do.

So what if its 2 weeks? Some stuff might be relevant.

Well some responses were sensible, but the rest was just childish.

Anyway, had enough of this place.

Decided to quit. Just need to look for a delete/close button somewhere.

Or if admin passes by, feel free to ban my account.

Bye.
