Indy shops in Boston area?
I'm looking for a good independent BMW shop in the Boston area- I live in Needham. Any suggestions appreciated. My 07 335i is beyond the 4 year maintenance period and has 55,000 miles on it. I anticipate lots of maintenance coming up in the near future and want to be prepared...
Thanks in advance!

Another nod for Turner Motorsports in Amesbury. It's a bit of a haul from Needham, but they know what they are doing with BMW's.

Does anyone here with a E9x (328/335) use Import Autowerks for repairs and general maintenance? I'm more so curious about the 335 crowd as most of those 2007-2009 models should be out of warranty by now. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, last question, any decent Indy Mechanics who are skilled with the BMW diesels? I'm thinking about ordering a 335d and after 4/50K, I'd be more inclined to use an Indy.
Thanks! -Ted |

My next door neighbor has a 9000 lb lift....he is gooood and inexpensive...cash only though. He was certified by Acura, but got laid off many years ago. He has all the tools and gets the job done right. He actually helped get my 335xi on his lift last night and diagnosed a noise that has been bothering me for months. A great neighbor to know!

How much would you charge per hour? I'm thinking of stopping by Bavarian today while I pass them at work to see if I can get an estimate on a few small things. My passenger side side skirt (OEM) has a single clip missing I believe since it is looser in the back than I would like. Also when I accelerate from a stop or even push backwards on the car when it is off, you can hear a "ting" noise that sounds like driving over a loose manhole cover. I've heard everything from exhaust hanger (hopefully) to ebrake shoe. I've got mild OCD so this shit drives me nuts since it should be easy to fix but I am very unskilled when it comes to working with cars. This is a dumb one, but I have CF stick on covers over the b-pillar panels. Basically the glue holding them on (3M red) is sorta peeling away. I want to fix this stuff badly.

Dave thanks My buddy is taking it to work with him today (BMW) and will attempt to fix it. I'll definitely PM you if he can't fix the "tink" sound. I'm positive he can fix the side skirt clips lol.
I will keep you in mind for sure! |
