Anyone uses Formula One Tints

I finally considering tinting my car after this heat we are having today, the glare just heats my head

I dont know much on the cost, yes! I've done some search

...but I seem to recall F1 or Formula One as a brand. Anyone that uses this kindly post your opinion and are they worth all the hype!

I have formula one tints... They are pretty good at heat rejection, but if your car is going to sit outside for a long time (like a couple of hours in the sun), then it does not matter what kind of tint you have, it will still heat up...

Hey FF,

I just got F1 Pinnacle couple weeks ago. Pinnacle is just their line for cermaic tints. So far so good. I would give 8 points out of 10. They made a little mistake on the driver's door, but they fix that on my 2nd visit in a week when they put a black vinyl decal on the top of the rear shield. That vinyl is to cover the matrix dots that most fellows have concern with in here... hope this helps. Hey which LA tint did you call? I went to alexandria and I pay 300 for my coupe. The one at Sterling even want 360+ for it. You sure it's 268 for Pinnacle ceramic?

LA Tint in Manassas

I posted this in another tint thread. Hope it helps here too.

Got my 328ix Coupe tinted by LA Tint in Manassas, VA. They said they had experience with them including that dreaded dot matrix on the back window. Tint cost was $309. + $20 for the vinyl overlay of the dot matrix. They used Formula 1 Pinnacle Ceramic tint, since I have Nav. iDrive is not affected by metallic tint...just the Nav. I got 35% sides and 50% back window.

It appears that they did an excellent job, but I'll know in a couple of weeks after it cures.

They do offer a multi-car 10% discount for same owner...different car. I'll be taking in my daughter's '07 MazdaSpeed in soon.

Thumbs up from me for F1 Pinnacle. I got mine done last year about this time and I've been very pleased. I like the color and 35% with a beige interior looks just right to me (not too dark, not too light). I went to LA Tint in Sterling, and I think the price was around $400 for a sedan. Ceramic tint is pretty expensive.

On another note, good to see AJ around again.
