fftec (Excellent top and bottom mount quaility only seen one weld failure(unknown cause) of all the kits on the market it is the most proven)
Pro Tuning Freaks (Good short runner manifold nice use of space ) Ventura Motorsports (Twin scroll kit equal length longtube design.) AD Engineering (Nice short/mid runner bottom mount kit good transitions. Would be nice as a twinscroll vband) Proven Power (Good top mount quality low numbers) ZNS (Horrible QC unless the one they sent that guy was a joke) other (Aflateau's top mount is putting down good numbers)

I guess I should add in Tony's Stage 3's Should be interesting. I'm just unsure how spool will be with two larger parallel twins.

Not even close. Looks nothing like FFTEC
Speaking of clones the AD manifold looks a lot like the FFTEC Last edited by chili36; 08-11-2014 at 09:15 AM.. |

What would you like to know?
6466 precision turbo Right now I'm just running on a "stock" map at ~20psi to make sure everything is working as it should. Unfortunately it's taking longer than I'd like, but I just don't have much time to mess with the car at all lately. |

Also the AD manifold isn't really a clone the transitions are much better. Shows he didn't just buy one and build his. Only so many bottom mount designs will work that is why PTF's manifold is so sweet. They ended up with really short runners.

I've been waiting till I have a free weekend to put my clutch in and do break in before turning up the boost. I have also just been trying to get it out and stretch its legs a little here and there when I have time to just look for consistency in performance and make sure the car is running correctly. Then I saw a little smoke one day in my rear view mirror while in low rpm and decent load (read uphill in slow traffic). So, I am trying to diagnose that as well. I hooked my boost gauge up to a barbed fitting I drilled and tapped into my oil cap and found I am reading a slight positive pressure in the crankcase under all conditions as opposed to vacuum. So, next is to remove the rb valve and shorten the pcv line from my turbo to the pcv valve and recheck. I'd be super interested to see what other single turbo guys are seeing in their crankcases as I don't know of anyone who has even mentioned do any sort of testing in that area for their single kit...

My advice to anyone who wants to get single turbo kits is to research a lot before buying anything. And i am not just talking about quality but also power
The bigger the turbo is the more power it will offer but at the same time it will be a lot slower to spool and you will lose low end power. So for daily driving a twin turbo set up or a smaller single kit is more fun.

Exhaust pulse scavenging, better fluid dynamics. Should in theory have less back pressure with same tube size and turbo. If it was turned into a twin scroll it would be even more effective.

As someone not interested in either I don't really care. Why don't you wait for that data if your interested in one of them.
