N52 323 2.5 engine’s torque can reach to the level at 313PHP 370 NM, and the 325 2.5 can drive to the torque at 350HP 410NM, moreover, the 330s are even comparable to the torque of V8M3 at 425HP 510NM.

The 330 3.0L is the same as the 328 engine. So your probably looking around 370hp.

The 323i in Canada is the same as the 325i 2.5L in Asia so the 323i Canadian will produce the same output as the 325 2.5L.

But was the N52 designed for this much power? Should reliability be a concern?

You and Kriston should do this!

This mod would be the "jump off" and take things to a whole new level.

These numbers are so enticing. but reliability makes me concerned especially because this engine was not meant to handel boost.

lets see when this comes state side.

hmm, I've seen their videos on youtube they look legit but are we safe putting a non-German product (especially a supercharger) in our BMWs?

I mean I have never heard of ARMA before few threads in here.. It would be hard to pull the trigger on this product unless the pricing is ultra attractive.

Beats me... $600 is a lot for shipping! They say after payment clears, it'll take "20 working days" for delivery.

Their website says 425 hp and 376 ft-lb of torque. That looks like a 65-70% increase in performance!

There are a lot of NA engines out there originally not meant to handle boost, but they have reliable supercharger and turbo kits available for them.

I actually have a shop about half an hour south of me that would definitely be able to install this kit for me, since they do a lot of custom engine work and have tons of experience installing aftermarket turbos and superchargers. But ~$9k for the kit and the header shipped is too rich for my blood. My guess is it would be ~$10-11k installed.

I had asked that shop about a month ago to see if either a turbocharger or supercharger could be installed on our NA cars, and they said anything is possible... it'll just take some time and potentially a lot of money.

They recommended a turbo charger since it would be easier overall to do because of the lack of space in the engine compartment and underneath. Since it would be a completely custom job, I think they said something ~$8-10k for a turbo rated up to 600 hp. The hardest part for them will be the ECU adjustment for boost though, since they can't do it themselves, so we'd have to get LET to look at it and see what they can do. But, apparently this kit already includes the ECU adjustments, so maybe it'd be easier/feasible from the get-go.

That's for the Stage 3 supercharger for the 330i, which includes the supercharger kit, stander, bleed valve, oil injection, ecu, intercooler, and other accessories.

Optional items are apparently the header LHD for $1320 and an exhaust which includes a variable exhaust vacuum valve for $1800.

thats not ture...turbo systems require a custom exhaust manifold that could cost a bundle if not already supplied with one.

Good question...

Reliability
In general, superchargers enjoy a substantial reliability advantage over the turbocharger. When a a turbo is shut off (i.e. when the engine is turned off), residual oil inside the turbo's bearings can be baked by stored engine heat. This, combined with the turbo's extremely high rpms (up to 150,000rpm) can cause problems with the turbo's internal bearings and can shorten the life of the turbocharger. In addition, many turbos require aftermarket exhaust manifolds, which are often far less reliable than stock manifolds.

But really? 7k for a supercharger made in Taiwan? I mean I'm not be racist or anything but 7k made in Taiwan or a third world country seems like a rip off. For instance, u can get a full custom body kit-bumpers, skirts etc, for 1k. And, I also agree about the reliability, do they know what they are doing? I mean I've seen many japanese cars with superchargers or turbos, like civics etc, but we dnt really wanna screw our car over.. They are much more ex than certain jap cars

^ I agree... if it was in the $3-5k range, I would consider it... I would like to have it, but $9k for a supercharger isn't pocket change.

$ 9K-10K you can get a dedicated company in superchargers to make one for your car specifically.

And just so you know, products made in Taiwan are known by how reliable it is!
