Carbon Fiber E90 Performance Spoiler Install

My E90 CF Performance spoiler is coming today and I need to go buy 3M tape. Is it a typical double sided tape? Will that be enough or will I need some sort of adhesive? Thanks!

I didn't like the tape when I installed mine.
I used tape first but removed it and went with 3M urethane windshield adhesive.
It's semi-permanent and you get better fitment than the tape.

Let me know what you use Trent...I ended up ordering a CF Performance spoiler as well and am curious the best way to install it.

Just a regular automotive store has the windshield adhesive...like pepboys?

Thanks

Installed it a couple hours ago, I'll post a few pictures tomorrow. You DO NOT need any windshield adhesive...I'll post the part numbers for the 3M double sided stick tape tomorrow. I ordered mine from E92-Lighting...it is the SAME as the OEM spoiler, just no BMW Performance sticker. I have a friend who ordered the OEM one and we compared ours today out of the box and they are identical.

I want the same spoiler for my E90, but would prefer painted rather than CF.
Anyway, look forward to your pics!

Here are some pictures..

I am still cleaning up a few spots of the tape that overlapped a little bit with a popsicle stick and pushing it back.

Looks amazing. Especially on a white car. Contemplating getting this on my black e90.

Go with it...if you have the means, I recommend it. It's not too aggressive like the E92 one but not to subtle like the tiny M3 lip spoiler on such a large trunk.

I purchased mine from E92-Lighting and it shipped 7/9 and came yesterday on 7/12. Amazing, quick responses and shipping! Great product. It's not a perfect fit..but even my friends OEM one on his isn't perfect. I am more than pleased for the price I paid shipped.

LOL at some people who don't know how to install a spoiler. What are you 3 years old?

Okay? Asshole. I was making sure I purchased the right adhesive and did it correctly. The 914kid...pointless comments on a thread that you have nothing to say.

Ya, just like you post stupid comments about your 2011 335i "perfect" car you bought with 12k miles in every other thread.

What a noob.

3M or Loctite outdoor adhesive will work. I've used it for years

How's the spoiler holding up? Any signs of the spoiler coming off with just tape? Mine should be coming in the mail next week. Did you get a part # for the tape you used?

Tint that reverse white portion on the tails, it's bugging me since the cars white/cf/black with the diffuser.

a link to where you bought it would be fine.

Is there a gap on the corners of your spoiler?
