My old man had one laying around which he never used. He doesnt see the point but he has the technique for getting a wheel back on nailed.

I've nabbed the lug-guide off him and use it to great effect though.

It's nothing to do with weight, more to do with the front hubs turning, as you try to line the bolt holes up.
