Mike@VIP vs. S/C CTS-V
My bad, wrong section, but at least all the trolls will see it . BTW this is not street racing. Totally legal...somewhere. I guess we're in Mexico if i makes you all happy.
So Mike has been looking for an M5 to race for a long time and told him my friend Alex could probably do it. However, the M5 is his brother's who comes home on weekeds so I offered him the chance to go against the supercharged V. The first video Mike floors it after the first honk and we thought we were going to go after the third. Second video I have no idea what happened but Mike wasn't going after us. Third video Mike couldn't hear the horn. Fourth video Mike agrees to go after his third honk and is the best representation of a head to head roll. They were all done from about 50mph as the CTS gets no traction anywhere in his first gear range(up to 40-45ish).

Doh, those videos are so poorly done, that I cannot make anything of them. Could you at least narrate what happened in each vid for us..?
BTW, you can flip the switch on your camcorder for low light condition next time. |

It was done on an old digital camera and it is kinda hard to get a good quality shot when the force of the car was plastering me to my seat.

What were we suppose to expect? In case anyone was wondering, a car with 500 whp will definitely pull on a modded 335i from a roll

Exactly. What 5.7 or 6 liters with forced induction. It better stomp the dog shit out of a bolt on 335. Of course 335's are pretty much the baddest thing on the road if this forum is all you read.

Stock, they have a 6.0L V8 at 3500 lbs and 400hp and are about as fast as the Dodge SRT8's more or less.
With 500 rwhp you're looking at easy 11's over 120 mph if the rubber and driving are good. No suprised it spanked the 335. Why do people put up these videos that are so poor quality you can't tell if you're watching a race or an alien landing. |

The M5 with its 5 liter NA engine is a more meaningful comparison. Maybe the CTSV should race a 8.0L Twin turbo Viper??? |

Well he agreed to it. He wanted to race the kid's brother's M5 but his brother was home so he couldn't take it out. I offered him the chance to run the V and he said why not and I figured I would post the videos. I guess the only videos you guys want to see is of 335is winning against other cars.
