No worries, I'm just a few minutes away. What about promoting ahead of time? Get the motivation going? We got a few new sactown enthusiast, I'm sure we can get a crowd. Hwy1 drive? From sac to Monterey?

Sup everyone. Been a lurker for awhile, thought I'd join in and make some friends.

I'm out in South Sac and own a white e92 328i, completely untouched. Plan on modding once I have some cash. Right now, I need new tires and am debating whether I should buy tires or see if I can get a good deal on VMR V710 or AG 310.

Quick question for the locals:

I need to take my 07 335i for the injector/hpfp recall. Car is misfiring and spitting white smoke.

I have mods and wondered if Sac BMW or Modesto BMW will do the recall with FBO. I can remove JB4 and intake but really didnt want to do the FMIC or Downpipes.

Any first hand experience?

I don't have any first hand experience, but I have talked to dealers. Downpipes are a big no-no. I'm my opinion, do what you can to put back to stock, especially for recalls. I am going to do walnut shell blasting and putting my stock intake back in from DCI. Just give them no reason to deny your recall. You have FBO, so a lot to put back, I would say DP, JB at a min. FMIC I think you are good, we have some people on here that take it in to dealers with FMIC and no hassle. Do you have stock charge pipe and BOV?

i would at least take out JB and DP. that's the biggest NO-NO in Sac's dealer. they should be ok with FMIC but tune and DP is the things they do not want to see. remember being a friend with the SA is a big plus, as long as you approach to them friendly, most of the SA won't act like an A-hole =)

Thanks guys. That was my line of thinking too. It may be a hassle to it is not worth me getting denied for service and having to pay out of pocket. I am just going to have to pull everything off. I may leave the intercooler on but the DPs, intake and charger pipe and catch can are coming off. Arrghh!
