How much do you tip a detailer?

Got my windows tinted and they gave me a card for a mobile detailer. Its 20 dollars for wash and interior. I figure 10 bucks?

4 according to him, but who's counting I'd say give the detailer more depending on how good the job was/appreciative you are

you are just talking about a wash, correct?

no one in their right mind would do a proper wash and interior detail...There is no room to make money. In the end, you make about 8 bucks per hour after supplies used, gas getting there, etc. And if they are, do you really think its going to be anything quality? highly unlikely!

You have a 40-50k+ car, why skimp out on the one thing that will keep the value up?

I usually do my own detailing but you can't really beat 20 bucks. Besides 20 dollars is promotional and I am sure normal price is 40 or 50... He can't really mess anything up.

Then why pay $20 for a questionable detail if you usually detail yourself?
