Buzzing / beeping sound

Hi All,

I've discovered a buzzing sound coming from the dash on my e91 lci. It's noticeable at idle with stereo off. It sounds electronic but not affected by turning the stereo off or the air on off. Any ideas what this might be please?

Doesn't affect it. Still does it with engine off, climate off, radio off and even once with the key out of ignition whilst on the phone Bluetooth.

A guy at kwik fit said today that he saw something similar a few years back and it was the steering lock failing. Odd.

Audio would be nice. Mine makes some kind of buzzing noise as well whenever I open/close doors/trunk (something to do with the car waking up or going to sleep).

Yes it does sound like it comes from the speakers but it never stops. Even when driving.
