speaking to a guy who maps cars and has the rolling road at his place and he was saying that E9X M3 when put on a rolling road only make around 360BHP?!!
Any truth in this if so its a bit of rip off saying they over 400 bhp. |

I've had an E46 M3 and E92 and the E92 would destroy the E46 so is a fair amount ahead in the horsepower stakes.
That said; my E90 330d LCI is remapped. When up against an E92 M3 on the A1 not so long ago; he didn't tear away from me. They only have 295 lb/ft of torque so it takes some work to get them going. |

Not quite related, but when I had my E90 M3, a E92 335i pulled up along side me and that thing took off from the lights shockingly fast!!

Dann is right. They are referring to power measured at the wheels. Depending on the atmospheric conditions, fuel, state of the engine etc, generally there is anywhere from 10 - 20% power lost through the drivetrain largely due to friction within the gearbox, diff etc.

if one considers it for a while then he will realize that the E9x 335i was the test car for the new F3x M series...or if you don't want to see it as a "tester" then you can was it was the base model for the new 3/4 series M models.
