Remove trim from centre console on e90
I have a Dension DAB+U along with the USB passthrough connector port fitted into my BMW e90.
It was fitted professionally and I know where the unit is fitted under the passenger footwell but the connector port is fitted inside my glovebox. As the DAB coverage is pretty poor where I am I wanted to remove it and look to sell it on. I could take it to a place who fitted it but they will probably charge me a hours labour just to remove it. I don't think there's much to it. I just need to figure out how to take the trim up from the centre console. Does anyone know how I can lift up the metal trip by the auto gearbox so i can pull out all the wires. I also need to get to the armrest so i can remove the connector port. What aerial are you using, is it the factory shark fin?
I also have a DAB+U which is connected to the shark fin and the reception has been very impressive so far. The only area I have had bad reception is when I was in York city centre. |

Really? How did you manage to connect it to the shark fin? If I could do that I think the reception would improve where I am. I'm currently using the window mount antenna which is hit and miss.

You can buy them new for less than £150. I recently bought 2 used ones from ebay (albeit with no connector port) for less than £50 each. |

Oh I didn't realise they sell for that cheap. If that is all they are worth then I'll probably just keep it.

To remove the console. Obviously you would have to chase the antenna cable back to wherever it's stuck
