Day 0: Been running v2.0.1 for months without issues. I was one of the early birds in receiving v2.

Day 1: Installed additional speed sensor (green) wire. Flashed the firmware to "pro01v03beta1" and loaded "v2.0.2 6AT Speed Limit Disabled (Dyno Testing Use Only).pcd" map. Reset ecu and disconnected battery overnight.

Day 2: Cold started the car and got the gallops. Removed the additional green wire. I noticed that the CELs were mainly DSC and speed related so thought that the extra green wire could have been the culprit.

Day 3: Cold started the car and got the gallops. Flashed the firmware back to "pro02v01" and loaded "v2.0.1." Reset ecu and disconnected battery overnight.

Day 4 & 5: Cold started and everything was fine.. no gallops. *Hence it must be a problem with the new map/firmware* Drove around for 2 days without issues while Shiv emailed me a new map to try.

Day 5 (Night): Reflashed firmware back to "prov01v03beta1" and loaded "v2.0.2 12-19 delimit" *Green wire still not attached* Shiv said it was ok to run the delimit map without the green wire attached.. just won't have that function enabled. Reset ecu and disconnected battery overnight.

Day 6: Cold started and got the gallops. Noticed that if I gave it some gas immediately upon startup for 5 sec, it doesn't idle hunt. Emailed findings to Shiv.

Day 7: Still galloping in the morning. Shiv sent me "v2.0.2 12-24" to try. Loaded the map, reset ecu and disconnected the battery overnight.

Day 8: Cold started and didn't get the gallops. At this point I thought the problem had been solved. Drive around merrily

Day 9: Cold started and got the gallops. Emailed Shiv, then went on holiday for 4 days overseas. Whilst I was away, he posted "12-29" map.

Day 14: Loaded "v2.0.2 12-29 delimit." Reset ecu and disconnected battery overnight.

Day 15: Cold started everything went well.. no gallops. Hopefully it's fixed but not exactly celebrating yet. I reckon if it doesn't gallop for 3 days.. then I'll pop the champagne.

Day 16: About to cold start and try. Fingers crossed. X I'll reattach the green wire after 3 days of successfuly cold starting. Will keep you guys updated.
Thank you for this great log ! I am currently running v2.0.2 12-29, firmware prov01v03beta1, speed limit enabled. No speed wires. No problems so far ( fingers crossed ).

Just 1 more day until the speed wire install, right ? BTW, I installed 12-29 on 12-30-2007, never had any problems with the speed limit map, speed wire not installed. Drove every day and it's pretty cold here ...

Eugen.. do you think I should just reinstall the speed sensor wire today?

Btw, it's pretty hot and humid in Singapore (90degrees F).

It's great that we can be testing and running the procede in so many continents across different conditions. Makes for a better end product.

Well, it depends what you want to achieve. I do not plan to install the speed wire in advance of some functionality I need. Thus I have no plans to go faster than the speed limit in winter season it makes sense for me with the upcoming v2.0.3 map, where the gear dependent user torque settings should be implemented. Unless you will have some benefits, I would not install the wires at all .

I am pretty sure that Vishnu concentrates all activities on a well tested and bug-free v2.0.3 map ( including a special DP map ), they need it at most. So why risking any stability now ?

My 2 cents.

Cheers,
Eugen

I see your point.

I plan to install the speed sensor wire for the purpose of datalogging and adjustment of torque percentiles, rather than for attempts at terminal velocity.

Another important reason for hooking up the speed sensor would be as a final test for wheather or not the idle hunting has anything to do with the extra green wire.

I too share your enthusiasm and opimisim for v2.0.3. I've got the UR catted downpipes on my car and would certainly like to see a map that is properly tuned for them. Stability and long term reliability are of paramount importance to me as well.

Thats what i am thinking...somewhere down the line, I feel that the green wire has something to do with the galluping...I had v2.02 installed for two weeks without the green wire and had no problems from the initial V2 install..After implementing the green wire the gallups started...I think we might have a defective wire or some kind of kink where it looses connectivity when it gets cold...Thats just my assumption...but when u do reinstall the wire and have galluping issues again, that would be pretty conclusive to me!!! If so i would hope Shiv can mail us new green looms!!!

I'll install it this morning before the cold start and will let you know.

Decided to wait on the install of the speed sensor wire for 1 more day as planned.. what do you know? Cold started this morning and got the gallops after 5 sec. I'm guessing it's when the procede turned on.

Man that really sucks, I was thinking from your testing that it was the green wire...You are now still getting the galluping and you have not installed the wire back...I don't know what to think now..

What are your current ambient temperatures in the morning ?

- I use the v2.0.2 12-29 map ( speed limit enabled )
- No speed wire interception
- PROcede power is connected different, V2 harness is connected to the standard switched power
- No valet mode activated

So the only difference is the PROcede power connection. Can you switch the PROcede unit only to permanent power for a couple of days ? Then you would know the source of the problem, IMO.
