Increased battery discharge! Anyone know what could cause this beauty??

Another gem this morning on my iDrive. I can only hope it has to do with the warm driver side door handle that won't work with my CA that is HOPEFULLY going to be replaced within the week from JMK BMW.

That is rather odd. It's a 2011 and I've only had the car for about 6 months... but I suppose it COULD be possible. I'll have them swap it out. Thanks man.

Yeah who knows bro... I'm starting to wonder why I got 11k off the damn thing... Third issue with the car in as many months. Brake sensor issue, loose engine mount, now this. Luckily it's nothing major...so far... holding my breath.

Go drive it in the highway and see if it goes away.
I had that same thing and this worked for me. Code went away. System still keeps a history of the codes though.
BMW dealer saw the code on my last oil change and they did a trickle charge on it to test the system.

Do you keep the car parked a lot? Maybe the battery just needed to be charged, also may have sat on the lot of bmw for a long time and sitting kills batteries fast.

I pick up my car in July. Few moth later my battery died out of blue. Park car on office parking, closed, get back at lunch - remote key not working. Open manual with key, call BMW assist - AAA truck show up in 20 min and diagnose dead battery. Tow me to my dealer - where they replaced my battery by warranty.

Then I am hopeful. Thank you for this.

The door handle... What the hell...

What kind of a door handle do you have? Did you connect it with your stereo...?
