I feel conceaded...I got caught in the act!

I have doubts that I might be the only one who does this, but while driving down town I always catch my self checking out my car in the reflection of the glass. The misses thought I was checking out some ladies, but I was just my car. I don't know which one would have gotten me in more trouble..

Just my personal opinion, but BMW, especially the 3 series seem to age so gracefully. I find when Audi, or Mercedes come out with a fresh car, it makes there old cars look old.

I've always been a fan of the 3'ers, especially the E9X family, so naturally I'm a little biased!!

Next to staring at the reflection, I don't mind finding an under pass to roll down the windows for a little eargasim!

lol I think we are all guilty of that. It's so true that some body styles do not age well. That said, I think the current gen MBs (w204, w212) will not age as gracefully as the w211 (facelifted '07+) for example, is now.
The E46s and E90s look just as good to me now as they did years ago even with a new 3'er out

Me too. When I first got my car I was looking at a clear reflection and I just started smiling haha. I was like "woah... that's my car, and that is what it looks like if you were looking at it from the outside!"

I do it all the time. I constantly look at it while parking it and walking into a place. I think all BMW fanatics do that.

I also always look at other BMWs. And other nice cars in general. Regardless of if they are modded or not. I'm just a car enthusiast in general

I feel like the E46 and E39 look dated today, but when they first came out, I thought they were absolutely sick! My dream car was the 2001 328ci, was going to buy one new with cash but refused to sell my Cisco stock. You know how that went!

While the E30 and E36 look obviously out of date, they still look *good*, which to me is a big hallmark of a car that ages gracefully.

Other cars seem like they never look out of date (give me a McLaren F1 today, it will still turn heads).

I think the E90 will age ok, particularly the post-LCI crop. Part of what BMW does is make each change evolutionary rather than making a new generation look massively different. This helps keep the last generation still looking halfway current. Porsche has this one figured out too.

And I stare at my car like it's a naked goddess.

The 3 series is a great looking car and I also think the current gen E9x will age well. The 3 series always has. And the 3 series is unique even in the BMW lineup in this respect; I can't say the same about the 5/6/7 series because the Chris Bangle era models were horrible looking (IMO).

@OP I get caught in the act a lot. Always looking over my shoulder when I park. Good lord when I went to the dealership to pick up the brand new car I waited six weeks for ... nothing would have looked better to me at that moment. And still, not much does.

Sounds like the misses doesn't understand the relationship you have with the car.

I like driving by a tanker truck so I can catch my reflection on it.
