Cracked my front bumper

So I cracked my front bumper hitting a curb while parking lol #fml. Would a body shop get a new bumper or try to fix the crack if I was going to use comprehensive insurance? Which would not raise my premium. Also maybe I can get the m3 replica out of this deal? Need opinions what to do. Thanks

Cant use comp for this. Collision is your only option. You hit a a curb which is a stationary fixed object hence the name collision. Shop will replace the bumper

Garage List
I too have a small crack in my bumper. A body shop could try to use filler and then respray while a BMW dealer would replace the entire bumper. I decided I'm getting an OEM aero lip to cover the crack.

Sorry to hear!

I wouldn't go through insurance for this. You'll still have to pay the deductable and your rates could go up.

Depending how it's cracked, it could be repairable. I've actually seen a shop repair a crack (not sure how they did it) but you couldn't tell it was ever cracked even on the inside. All I know is that it wasn't a filler, it was some kind of plastic weld.

Better to pay out of pocket, as much as that sucks

I was thinking about getting those cf splitters that I have seen on eBay for like 140(carbon fiber)

ya thats not gonna fly under comprehensive, better to pay out of pocket than deductible plus rate hike possibly, may be a good time to upgrade to nicer bumper.
