Amount of previous owners??

Just curious, would the value of a car go down if lets say you're the 4th owner of the car? Would it be harder to sell? Thanks guys..

..having purchased many vehicles over the years, I am more concerend with the condition a vehicle is in and checking the maintenance records. If no maintenance records are available, I don't touch it as there could be a slew of issues the current seller might not be aware of.

Number of owners is irrelevant. It's the pattern and duration of ownership.

Multiple owners in a short, recent period would be a yellow flag to many buyers as they'd wonder why people were to eager to get rid of it. Multiple owners in the past, current owner has had it four years, no big deal.

This.

The number of owners doesn't mean a thing if they car is well taken care of and maintained correctly.

Garage List

To purchase a car, the only concern of mine is "how is the condition of the car"~~

I wouldn't buy it. My limit is 1. The only other way I'd consider more than 1 is if I knew the other owner(s).

Dependent upon the age of the vehicle. The older the car, the less I'm worried about how many other boyfriends she's had and more about her current condition. But if she's been passed around a lot in the last couple of years, I may not buy the cow...errrr car

We're talking about individul owners not institutional owners, I believe. Most cars will show multiple institutional owners even if only one person has had it since delivery.

It's if a car has been owned by multiple unrelated people in a short period of time that I'd wonder why each person decided they needed to get rid of it after a sort time driving the car. What is wrong that an inspection isn't finding?
