Leather seats and jeans Blue dye rub off!

Does the dye from jeans really need to rub off on my leather seats!?!?! What is the best cleaner for this? Zymol? Griots? BMW's own product? Other then cleaning and conditioning.. Can that be done too often? Is there product that would help protect against this problem?

Thanks

Damien

What color of leather do you have?

Zaino will probably help.

As drvai suggests, I've also had success with Z9. I only had the problem with brand new jeans (dark blue, black) on very light leather where Z9 got it off. The better option for me was to wash the jeans several times until the excess dye was gone and then no more problem.

The leather color is... wonderful I can't think of i know! its a dark brown. Can not believe I can't remember the name! must be too early! I noticed this happening with new dark jeans and it has taken a few months to show but I do not like it!

You probably have the Terra interior.

I've used Zaino and it's not bad, but I just picked up some Sonus leather cleaner and it did a better job than the Zaino.

Also a mix of 10:1 distilled water to Woolite works really great too!

I have the same problem. Klasse leather cleaner takes it right off. I have saddle interior, but noticed the same problem when I had beige.

I think heated seats melts the jean dye, and exaggerates the problem. As a result, I bought lighter colored jeans. Sucks

Hmmm you might have something here. I just started to notice it building up now that it is colder out and we are using the heated seats more often.
