Help Please...!looking for the right code
i seem to lost the option in BC menu which allows for how the first press of remote control to unlock only driver's door or all doors.it was there before coding and it's gone after i coded the car with original FSW_PSW.TRC.I looked over the PDF coding list but cant find such option.I would give up everything to be able to unlock the doors with one press!please, could some expert here point me in the right direction?Thank you so much in advance!

Sure (just FYI - the google search I submitted in my post had the link to this...)- first off - I'm not sure if you have idrive or not - but if you do -after you do what I am about to tell you - you need to go into idrive - go into the settings for door locks - and activate the lock automatically when you drive away. If your doors do NOT autolock - the unlock feature WILL NOT WORK. Now - here is what you need to do. (if it was on before, things get reset when your coding - so do make sure its done..)
Go into CAS - look for ER_KEYOUT_AUTOVR and activate that. You will also need to look for KOMFORT_EJECT and activate that also. "Unlocks all doors when you remove key (2009: Only unlocks driver door if FOB set to unlock driver door only. Set FOB to unlock all doors, and this will unlock all doors, too) (also works with Comfort Access when engine is shut off, might need KOMFORT_EJECT activated) **Automatic door lock when you drive off must be enabled and must be the reason the doors locked for this feature to work, i.e. if you press the Central Lock button before the drive-off lock kicks in, the doors will not auto-unlock." |

also, check out this video - you will see in idrive the setting for the lock one door / lock all doors - that should change your FOB to work like you want...

I don't know the exact code for the option that you have lost but the best thing to do (if you followed suggestion to make a backup before you start coding) is to compare your backup TRC file to the one you have now when you read the car. Use a http://text-compare.com to compare the two files. That will show you which values changed and you can narrow it down from there. Hope that helps. |

I can paste my backup of the CAS or IDRIVE module if it will help - but I just had to go back into idrive and active things - if its totally blown away - then yep - probably a line of code got erased or there is a charachter that was accidently added that is coding that feature out.

This thread is quite confusing...OP is stating that he had the option to unlock ALL his doors with the push of his keyfob once. In all the cars that I have coded I have not seen this occur. In order to open the passenger door, you need to push the key fob a second time to open the passenger door. I dont have this feature on IDrive or BC stalk to activate this. What you guys are pointing out to him is not what I think he is looking for...
OP am I understanding your correctly? key fob push once to unlock door= open all doors to unlock position so both sides doors will open?? You sure you had this? |

I'm so surprised you dont even know the existence of such convenient option on our cars.I thought it's a standard feature that's factory enabled on all cars and that's why i dont see anyone coding it nor on the coding list.maybe it doesnt bother ppl much having to push fob twice to unlock both doors.but i just hate it!and find it stupid! and yes,im 100% sure i had it!when i first bought my car,it wasnt set to unlock all doors with one press of fob.i was playing with bc menus and found this option.it saves so much hassle from not having to push twice on the fob each time you have someone riding with you. Here's how it works on mine. To get the full stalk menu, the car needs to be running but not moving. There are two controls on the turn signal stalk, an up/down toggle switch on the front face of the lever, and a button on the outer edge labeled "BC" that pushes in towards the steering column. With the car running/not moving: toggle the face switch up/down until you see "SET" and a locked/unlocked padlock icon. (I have two "SET" options ,the other one has a thermometer and something else for the icons) push the outer button in to select this SET menu toggle up/down until you're on a selection that looks like: <- -> 3x push the outer button to select this feature toggle up/down until you're on the "3x" option [funny thing about these non i-drive menus, even if there's only two options, the initial menu might only show you the one you're on and you have to scroll to see all/others] push the outer button to engage this feature Should take you immediately out of "setup" mode and the setting will be effective immediately. |

CAS settings comparison
I did a comparison of the CAS settings before and after I changed my central unlock setting from 'All Doors' to 'Driver's Side Only' and the following was the only change:
Code:
SL_ZV_SENDER_1 nicht_aktiv --> All Doors aktiv --> Driver's Side Only Why it's not in your KOMBI is a different matter, I think. Hope that helps. EDIT: And a quick after thought as I was looking through my KOMBI module: ZV most likely stands for Zentralverriegelung (Central Locking) as such the following settings might be useful: Code:
ZV_VER_AUS ZV_VER_FAHRT ZV_VER_FAHRT_ZEIT Last edited by e90drvr; 02-02-2013 at 01:26 PM.. Reason: added an after thought |

I do have those lines akitv tho like yours: ZV_VER_AUS ZV_VER_FAHRT ZV_VER_FAHRT_ZEIT[/CODE] Anyway,I really appreciate you taking your time out doing what you did for me!! now,i hope someone could post up a trc from their non idrive e92(mine is 08),so i can do a comparition. |

That's the one. I made a typo.
Below are the relevant codes from my CAS (copy and pasted this time ): Code:
CAS -- all door's unlock when using FB ZV_SELEKTIV aktiv SEL_ZV_SENDER_1 nicht_aktiv SEL_ZV_SENDER_2 nicht_aktiv SEL_ZV_SENDER_3 aktiv SEL_ZV_SENDER_4 aktiv I'm glad to help. That's what the community is for. How'd that file comparison go? |

You are definitely right about how the community should work here or even in the real life thats what makes the world wonderful! That spirit behind it is priceless.well,I'm getting a little too excited thank you sooo much anyway! Now,next thing I will try to find out is how to enable the setting to set it on and off in the bc menu that used to be there.but i can live without that tho.i will keep you updated. Really gotta sleep now... Btw you should add those lines to the online code list (and put your name after it,jk~) https://spreadsheets.google.com/spre...er=false&gid=0 Cheers Last edited by w2830; 02-03-2013 at 06:10 AM.. |

Hey, sorry for the delay:
CAS KOMBI Any luck so far? You should really compare your current files to your backups to see the differences. Remember that mine are both a different VO than yours and somewhat modified. Good luck and let me know if you need anything else. Update: I just found another a part of translated CAS module that explains what the _1, _2, _3 and _4 at the end of the settings mean: they're linked to the keys. So the settings I gave you (SEL_ZV_SENDER_x) correspond to each one of four keys along with the initialization setting for activating the selective central locking feature (ZV_SELEKTIV). Which explains why only my _1 changed. Always learning something new. Last edited by e90drvr; 02-06-2013 at 03:08 AM.. |

translated module?nice find!btw,do you happen to know anything about disabling the rain sensor on the windshield.the reason for that is mine never works properly.(it's slow and adjusting the speed level doesnt help at all) i've seen ppl say disabling the auto sensor will activate maunal intermittent(works like those ones without rain sensor) I'd much rather have that instead. |

In the FZD module change Code:
FZD RLS aktiv -> nicht_aktiv Edit: Remember that this is the Rain/Light Sensor so your automatic lights will most likely stop working too. Something else you might try is changing the code in the junction box module (JBBF). This likely controls the electrical connection to the RLS but it's only labeled 'rain sensor' so it might just keep the light sensor enabled? Code:
JBBF REGENSENSOR aktiv -> nicht_aktiv Last edited by e90drvr; 02-07-2013 at 01:33 AM.. |
