318d 2012 E91 SE makes a great daily workhorse, I do around 350 a week more sometimes, it's just ticked over 90k, quite alot for that year tbh, the N47's are little gruff, but with cruise set it's a relaxed ride.
The 3er's are perfect on the small 16" wheels btw (probably not alot of love for them), such a nice supple ride, albeit not quite aesthetically pleasing than bigger wheels but not really bothered, trundles along nicely can get easy 750 out the tank brimmed. Toyed with idea of the 6 pot but, too expensive for long haul commutes imo, more to tax, fuel, insurance etc, just didn't see the point, when stuck at 60/70 every day - if that! |

Again, thanks all for the input. I feel I'm now armed with enough good quality information (which I wasn't aware of before) to study the market and make an informed decision.
I'll let you know what I end up with! LOL. Tell me I'm wrong Jamie! If the touring was to be my only car, I'd certainly go petrol though. For what I need now though, along with the longer commute, a derv seems the best choice. First diesel I'll have ever owned!
