Extended M3 paddles on Performance Wheel!
Just got the extended M3 paddles from modmy3 and installed on my Performance Wheel (which I had the standard M3 paddles previously).
First, the M3 paddle shifters are a huge upgrade from the standard steptronic paddles, much more positive feeling and have loved having them, but always wanted larger paddles that are easier to find, saw these recently from modmy3 and had to have them - installed today - check it out.

There is a DIY somewhere that I used, I will try to find it, but basically you need to remove the 2 little covers off the paddles that cover up the electronic board and then you need to press you the shaft that the paddle pivots on (be careful when you get it all the way out and can remove the paddle as there is a small spring and ball under it that can pop out. Once you have the paddle out, you wil then be able to unscrew it from the rest of the assembly and attach the new one and reassemble.
I will see if I can find the DIY I found that showed it Rob

Rob: Do you find you hit these paddles accidentally when driving in the city?
I recently converted to the M3 wheel with DCT paddles and love the feel of the shifts.

I have the same wheel and want to get these paddles. Let me know when you find that DIY! Did you have to remove the whole steering wheel from the column? Looks great! |
