Bridgestone Potenza S001 RFT'S in the UK?

Trying to source these tyres for my E92 330d in 19's is proving very difficult. Before I get burned I know that RFT's are not the best choice for comfort, handling or noise but fitting 3rd Gen Bridgestones would be a simpler option re insurance etc

I have searched and searched, yesterday spoke to Blackcircles who told me that they have had them on back order for over 2 months as supply from Bridgestone is very poor...yet it's there brand new flagship RFT?? Odd to say the least.

Anybody any suggestions on where / how to get these tyres? I'm after 255/30r19 and 225/35r19.

Any help much appreciated

No comments - it's your choice.

Giga-Tyres are showing them in stock and cheaper than the RE050 as well.

Reviews on all other RFT'S are pretty consistent in that ride is as harsh / harsher than the 050A I have on at the moment. 3rd gen is supposed to be better up will research some more.

Harsher than the RE050?! Jesus!! It feels like hitting a landmine when you hit a pothole with the RE050!

Beg to differ, I'm sure they would use it as an excuse when it came time to claim...modification to car etc etc

Just declare it to them. I asked if it would effect the premium or policy If I was to fit winter tyres to OEM alloys, made no difference at all.

I have they said they aren't bothered..only when changing alloys do they consider it a modification. However after a lot of consideration I have decided to go the non RFT route and order some Conti 6's..read some very good reviews on these tyres and have always liked Contis. Goodyear isometric 3's look to be he best tyre on the market but haven't come to uk market yet and when they do I can bet they won't be available for my car.

Any opinions on the Conti 6 before I hit the go button?

Not that RFT is bad it is your choice. However, there are way better RFT than the Bridgestone. Michellin Sport Zero Pressure?

I have Runflat Conti sport contact 2's on my E91 and i think they are great tyres. Handling is brilliant, also wet grip is excellent too. I have been very surprised how good they are.

REO50's are freely available S001's are so I'm told on back order on certain key 19" sizes, I use 2 of the biggest wholesale supplyers of tyres in the UK at the present time they have no due date for S001's.

I've just ordered a set of Contisport 6's from Giga tyres for £555 delivered - having them fitted for £15 a wheel so £645 all in with slime + compressor kit. Really looking forward o getting the new tyres on as the Bridgestones have become a liability, rears only have 3mm and n/s keeps dropping pressure add the tram lining from the front makes for poor drive to say the least
