Does anyone know of a surefire way to make the inside of the windshield spotless. I feel like I'm getting a lot of glare from oncoming headlights because maybe I don't have a spotless windshield. I was thinking of using this

I just use the same microfiber towel I used for drying the car. The dampness helps clean the windshield/rear shield

The only way I have ever gotten no streaks is with a squeegee of some sort.. Everything else smears.

The aerosol version of invisible glass works the best with a microfiber towel. In my experience the spray version works too but not as great. I have not tried the product you listed but I don't see how it could be any better.

Use a glass cleaner (I like Meguiar's D120) and a paper towel. Let it dry, then take a microfiber glass cloth that has a good texture for scrubbing (I like the lime green Vroom ones from Target) and buff the glass to get rid of any streaks you may leave behind.

Dirty interior windows are my pet peeve. I visited my son in college last fall and drove his car. The windows in his car were so bad I couldn't see at night. All windex did was smear the scum around. I mixed up some Joy dishwashing soap and washed the windows and rinsed twice. Big difference. It cuts all the greasy scum. I also use Griots Garage window cleaner on my cars at home and that works well. I run a trawler in the Bering Sea and night vision is important. The only way I let anyone clean the windows in the wheelhouse is with vinegar and ammonia and a squeegee. Windex will work when sqeegeed off for a temporary clean but the squeegee is the trick. Hope this helps.

This is the age-old question and it seems that no matter how many gimmicks are invented to clean glass, nothing beats 50/50 ammonia/water and then a buffing with old newspaper. Paper towels never seem to work with Windex.

The window cleaner from Griot's Garage is fantastic! It works wonders on all glass surfaces. I had to get an extra spray bottle because my wife kept stealing mine to use in the bathroom shower, etc.

tried all types of window cleaners and window cleaning wipes - none seem to work because it just spreads the oils and dirt all over the glass.

for me, best method was to use rubbing alcohol and a paper towel to break down and pick up all the oils, then buff with a CLEAN microfiber.

after cleaning with this method, just maintain using your usual glass cleaner/ cleaner wipes.

This post illustrates that there are a zillion ways to clean glass and no one method works for everyone.

Crud on the inside of windows is made up of different stuff than the stuff on the outside of your glass.

You have the offgassing from your plastics, residue from air pollutants, pollen, smoke, fingerprints, oils and a ton of other stuff.

There generally is no one product that will remove everything so a few products may be required. In addition, the makeup of that crud varies by region, so the stuff on a window in California is different from that in Canada.

Most people believe that Stoners and a microfiber works well to remove most of the deposits, but I also have a chamois covered sponge that I bought in Germany 20 years ago that works very well completely dry.

I use Invisible glass for cleaning anything glass on automobiles and a microfiber towel. Great recommendation to use a sponge or squeegee from vapore0n. Thank you.

Zep's Foaming Glass Cleaner (from Home Depot) works great, and is safe for tint. Also, clean with a microfiber towel. Twice. First time gets 80-90% of it, but the second time does the trick.
