I am very happy with the gains, the power is very noticeable. Going through the rpms seems a lot lighter. My foot feel lighter on the throttle too and on top of that I've gained mpg.

Do you have a video of your exhaust with the drone pipe connected? I want to see how the pipe actually makes the exhaust sound

Curious, how was the fitment of the SS headers, any modification needed on your end? Did you buy new gaskets in advance?

DayumDanny, your setup sounds very similar to my previous setup: SS headers & Eisenmann race.
Right at 4k rpm is when you scare the living shit out of your way i bet.

PHeww...thanks goodness I didn't try to keep the SS headers & get the PE.
Man....you remind me my nightmare with the sounds of my SS headers.

A for effort for living with it on public road buddy.

haha yeah, very short while indeed. I took them right off after 24 hours having them. I like mine & your current setup much better. I wonder the midpipe quality you're having would make any difference than my stock cutout..

The fitment was perfect and I used my stock gaskets. It depends on how old your car is. If its older your gonna have to buy new gaskets

I like my mid pipes with the e.race but the best way to describe it when WOT in a tunnel the exhaust tone sounds hollow on D, on DS I could almost get the desired high pitch rev that I miss. So I've decided on having 2 exhaust set ups at home, one full eisenmann (for race loud-high rev pitch) and one detail addict custom mid pipe and magnaflow 14807 (for growling loud-bass head). Idea from this thread.

If you ever get back to NorCal before early 2013, you might have a chance to hear the current set up it in person.

Nah, all the parts fit in the back seat, install/uninstall maybe $50 every time, no biggie.

That is not worth it for $4,350. If I was going to do that I would just wait for AA or MMW to come out with a super charger, or I can get headers from MMW for $1100 and still have a lot of money left over to spend on other things.

and when turnermotorsports did a review on that exhaust they found virtually no gains.

Danny,

did you do anything about the rasp. I am wondering how it would have sounded if you still had the stock resonator.

Sorry about inactiveness.

As for the fitment, its fits perfectly. No need to do anything other than bolting it on. I may suggest getting new gaskets.

I'm looking to try new exhaust setups, I feel like the noise is still not deep enough. I've seen someone on here with a magnaflow exhaust system with the ss headers and It might be the one. If anyone has suggestions on the setup they have with their catless headers please chime in. I still have the rasp and it sucks
