I'll post more information when I get a few proper runs, too much traffic over the border. Got 2 chances to do 3rd gear pulls but had to shut down early. New maps feel very different from the 7-29 map I was running previously. Pulls very strongly, engine sound/feel is very smooth with a crazy amount of power. Think everyone with big turbos will love these maps - with a free flow exhaust I'm sure you can get a bit more out of these.

I've reached my terminal velocity, don't feel the need to go beyond this power level, but I guess 'never say never'!. Thanks Shiv.

A.
This is exactly what my goal is for the car. 475-480 whp on 93 octane + meth in the 17-18 PSI range with Rob Beck turbos. Looks very promising.

If our cars can handle these higher boost maps with higher ignition advance while using meth, then you are optimizing the whole point of running meth in the first place....are you not?
Yes, more timing advance less boost, more boost less timing advance this is just tuning, all that i am saying is that the rev2 should be capable of these results even though it has a coarser resolution and can advance timing to the same degree as the rev2.5/3 , if one were to allow it and to continue to support the rev2.

The rev2 doesn't have coarser control then the 2.5/3. It just had a passive delay during a certain mode of operations that results in 1-3 deg of ignition retard at high rpm. We have always anticipated running at least this amount of ignition retard with a tune so this was intentional. But needs changed when methanol injection became a priority. In such cases, having this retard costs us 15-20whp up top. The rev2.5/3 is also able to target a richer AFR at low rpm which is useful now that people have access to mapping and can make custom changes. For $50, the 2.5 a very worthwhile update.

Wasn't there going to be a DIY for the rev 2.5 resistor change? If it's just changing two surface mount resistors I think I'd take a crack at that to save $50 and downtime with shipping etc.

Shiv, would you kindly post the description and specs of the two items in question to be changed out beside the large blue capacitor so that us hobbyist can have a go at this.

Thanks.

There was a DIY that wad presented to a few users. One of them had the work done improperly which lead to leaps of troubleshooting and time. So we highly recommend letting us do the work and testing. To avoid downtime, we have now accumulated several rev2.5 loaner units that we can ship out. Once you receive it, just send back your original rev2 with the supplied shipping label/box.

I can attest to this! I recently did the upgrade and shiv and company had an insanely quick turnaround time... I got everything back in about a week and a half... it pleasantly surprised me to say the least.

Great, so effectively zero downtime then right? I just contact Robert and he sends me out a 2.5 and when I receive it just mail back my Rev 2 with the supplied label.
