OEM - US spec instrument cluster e90-335i
From US car imported to Canada - forced replacement to meet Canada Standards. 8k miles. 2007 335i sedan. As new condition. Best offer. Figure if someone actually needs this i'd value it around 45% of new replacement part. Otherwise might look nice mounted on the wall or something! |

yea - nothing to do with speedo - cluster replacement required for permanent activation (hardwiring) of daylight driving lights (despite fact you can turn-on with i-drive on the US system) - note this is BMW Canada doing their best to increase costs to importers - they won't give you recall clearance letter without, and you can't register car until you have that letter. All this despite the fact the car would pass the RIV inspection without the replacement cluster!

How much? At the right price I may pick it up to try a V1 concealed display install with it...

I don't really know what it's worth -but new part in Canada is over $1200 (about $1150 US), I figure it's about $800 US new from a dealer - at 30% of new i'd say $250. I think there is some value to the dealer for the core of this unit - it was a $150 credit alone if you swapped out your old one, which I couldn't in this case because it was US spec.
So $250 + ship cost. Probably a no-brainer if you actually need to replace a damaged cluster and are facing $800 or so for new...for other purpose I don't know if it's worth the expense. |

At that price it isn't worth it to me for a V1 remote display install... Nothing personal, but best of luck with the sale.

umm does any one know if the Mileage is stored within the DME or the cluster itself? Cause if the cluster has 8k miles on it and someone that has 5k on their car would the cluster adjust itself to the 5k or stay with the current 8k readout?

no, its 2 different things. so u will have the same mileage.....if u have 5k and u switch clusters, u will have 5k (ur original mileage) displayed on ur new cluster.
