E90 front brake pad replacement

My front pads are due for replacement in 1500 miles as per idrive. I was just wondering what are the best ones to go for????

More than happy to get genuine BMW ones, was just wondering if there are any other viable options, have seen Brembo ones at a reasonable price too.

Any feedback would be welcome.

How old is your car? is it under warranty? If it is i'd go for genuines. Failing that you could go for Textar pads from ECP as they are a OEM manufacterer. If brake dust is an issue you could look at the EBC range, but personally, i'd stick with OEM's.

Jurid are an OE supplier too, as were ATE at one point I think - or maybe that was just the calipers.

Anyway, there's not just one.

Am using Akebono on the fronts.I just love them.Same braking efficiency as oem but with no dust at all to the extent that my rear wheels getting dirtier than the front ones.Am trying to get hold of a pair of Akebono for the rear too now.

I went for EBC Greenstuff last change and find them far better than OEM for braking 'power'. ie they work a lot better.

No idea how long they will last though.
