Is anyone else poopin themselves already, how do you deal with the winter in your bmw, share your stories with the rest of us

With any luck we might be able to get a laugh from them

My way to deal with it this year was to buy a 2003 Fiesta 1.4 Zetec last Saturday ........ it's a great little thing, bring on the snow !!

If you don't have access to another car then really a set of reasonably cheap winter tyres is your option.

Last year was an e90, currently in an e60 auto so was not looking forward to it however my new Audi A6 will be here in 2 weeks so hopefully I'll be mobile :-) Quite excited about getting it as they look nice inside with loads of toys - was very tempted by an F10 but decided to try Audi for a change.

I've got a set of winter tyres in the garage... I hope my pet unicorn hasn't been chewing at them.

Well last winter I had an Astra Sporthatch and used to laugh at the sight of abandoned BMW's and Merc's at the wayside. My Dad had an E60 and that couldnt even get off the drive so to prepare myself for my first winder with my e92, I will be nipping out for an extra scarf and pair of hiking boots.

I cant justify spending £400-£800 on winter tyres when I can brave the main roads that are hopfully gritted.

Er...no it isn't. Winter tyres make a huge difference. Do some research and you'll be surprised.

We've got winter sussed.

My E90 and the partner's Astra Cabriolet will be parked up and we will be borrowing her Dads L200 if the weather gets bad.
