A request to a SA or the like...

Hi,
I have a favor to ask for anyone who has access to the dealer tracking system. My SA has been quite lazy, and i dont know what he is doing, but he has told me that my car has been on a truck since last THURSDAY, it usually takes my dealer 2 days to get the car (thats what he said). Is there anyone who can provide me the accurate information on where my car is.

Production number is :6573561

If anyone could help me out, i would be very appreciative.

Go to the owner's circle on the bmw website:
https://oc.bmwusa.com

Click on "Sign up today"

Enter production number, go from there.

There is a spot where you can track status of your order, it's pretty up to date..

Call the 1-800 number and get the automated information. Also, hold for customer service and speak to a person there. They can give you the most up to date information. At the risk of overstepping my bounds, I called and it said you were at the port awaiting a shipping vessell and no shipping information was available. I appologize for calling if that was not your desire, but you posted the production number so I assumed it was OK. I did not speak to customer service. Maybe someone who has reached the point your'e at can shed some light (I'm only in production) but it sounds to me like you're not even on a ship yet. I hope I'm wrong! If I'm correct, you need to have some words with your SA's boss!

Yes my friends, that is what i am experiencing.
The website says that i am at the VPC (im assuming this changes only when you have reached the dealer) the 1800 number i think is totally inaccurate, and everytime i talk to customer service they tell me to call the dealer b/c once the car reaches america they have no information about it which i think is total BS. I have heard people have actually been able to find out from their SA where the truck is that their car is on, apparantly my SA doesnt want to do that, or doesnt know how, which is reasonable. I was hoping for someone who has the ability would be able to get me this information.

both owners circle and the telephone number blow...the most accurate way is DCSnet...the dealer software...I have it but I can only access it for the dealership that I ordered from.

So the only way to get DCSnet information about my order is through a computer at my dealership??? Is the system that inflexible?

Updated information

Try calling the 800 number and wait for the response. Ask it to connect to customer service. They have online access to the same information the dealer has and it is at least one day ahead of automated phone and several days ahead of the web page.

Mine is at the port waiting for a ship

No dice.
I tried to bait him asmuch as possible, but i have always gotten the same response from him and other people at BMWNA "We dont have any tracking information after the port of exit"

Just tell your SA to go onto dealerspeed and pull it up for you and then have him look on the DAR ( Dealer activity report as well ) try not to scold him till after you get your car

which dealership is this?..my dealer has been lazy about forking over information on my new car too..he said last week should be hitting the dock any day..but of course as of today the car is still in transit per the online and 1-800 number, which I believe have a 2-5 day lag of some sort.

This was in South Bend, IN.

I recived the car on friday evening.
They had a shipment of 335i's come in on wednesday, when mine was supposed to arrive, but it was not on the truck, came 2 days late, on friday
