Used transmission in vehicle ews error

I have installed an used transmission into a n52 e70 at work.. I know it's not the e70 group but figured I would try here. I have the fault code 5123 in the EGS for EWS error due to vin. As a master BMW tech. We never installed used transmissions into vehicles at the dealer but working at an indy you don't have so many options when the aftermarket warranty will only pay for an used unit. I have tried ista d and plugging the old mechatronics unit into the body harness and reseting the calibration of the ews via test plan. Will result in successful but once the "new" unit in, same fault. Sorry for the lengthy story but I just didn't want to be questioned why I'm putting an used uniy in. Lol. I know better thanks for any help.

On E70 its 6hp and it has EWS active.

You need to reset EGS EWS security first before u "marry" it to new CAS.

You need special tools and dealer equipment (ISTA/ICom) will not help here.
