iPod browsing too slow... or it just me?

I have a E90 with Professional Radio and the iPod/USB connection (I don't have iDrive). I'm using it with my iPod Video 80 GB but the browsing is too slow.

Is there any way to speed it up? How can I go directly to a specific artist or album? Is there any way of choosing by the starting letter?

Thanks!

Sorry... I should have spent more time searching.

I realize that I need a BMW Y-Cable for the iPod.

It the Part No. 61 12 0 440 796 correct?

How much this cost in Europe?

Thanks!

You also need a software update (possibly). One of the fixes in 27.x (I think) was to speed up browsing of the iPod...

+1 on the progman update. Although i dont think its 27.x since im almost positive i have 27.x and i have the slow browsing problem too. IIRC it was 29.2 or up that fixes it. Go to your dealership and complain about the slow scrolling problem and they will update it for you.
