Halogen Headlight options?!
Xenon conversion is coming in a bit pricey, so considering alternatives...
Anyone had their E90 LCI Halogen headlights modified, usually companies seem to do 92's with xenons. I found a thread but all the pictures have gone and the work was done by some guys in Scotland. The driver is aesthetics more than anything else... Suggestions and thoughts appreciated! |

I had the same issues 2 years ago. Wasn't a fan of the lci halogens so ended up having the adaptive xenons retrofited by a specialist, like you said it wasn't cheap at £1600! Before that I just had some upgraded blue tint bulbs. I looked into having a projector lens put into my headlights but the whole idea of having to separate the headlight from the lens put me off with the risk of them misting up.

If I were you and a oem retrofit wasn't on the cards I would get a set of depo projector style lights and kit them out with a bi-xenon projectors. This is what I done on my 1 series and I can honestly say the upgraded depos give my oem xenons a run for their money.
In total I think that upgrade cost me about £500 and was money well spent. |

I've also been talking to a retrofitter, a place in Scotland and thats about £500 but the headlights they referred me to look at weren't my cup of tea. A standard two tone balckout was still £400 nearly.
Anyone know any of these companies who do the E92 Xenon upgrades would touch an E90 lamp just for an internal colour change? |

Hi mate, have you heard of a company called NEM (Never Enough Mods)? They are based in London and are supposed to do some amazing headlight conversions. I have only ever seen their work on E92s but it was very good quality. I haven't used them personally, only ever got to the quotation stage which was about £350 to convert your current headlights. But I do have OEM Xenons so don't know if that makes a difference to pricing...

The JB4 Benelux Touring has Rolling Gears DTM headlights, don't look bad but apparently are pretty shocking for light output.
Keep an eye out for Xenon headlights, all the other parts are around £200 unless you need to change your FRM. |
