Drl light error

My car has halogen headlights without Angel Eyes. I installed LED bulbs in my DRL and now I am getting a bulb error in my cluster. I heave heard that disabling high beam cold and warm checks for high beams will get rid of this error. Is that correct? Thanks in advanced.

The light I am talking about is the one that is on in the picture. I have heard it being called a position light as well? This light comes on with my park lights but can also be used as a DRL when its enabled.

Fhelermeldung lines (can't recall spelling off the top of my head)

You sure they're tied to those lines though that you disabled?

No I'm not sure they are tied to those lines. Those were something someone had suggested trying but didn't work so I set them back to active.

Is there a way to disable these lights and not have them come on with my parking lights?

I set every line starting with Fhelermeldung to nicht_active and error went away. Thanks Grant

Well you need to figure out which one is for those city lights.
You've essentially turned off all of your vehicles bulb checks... not just for those bulbs.

I'm not 100% sure which error reporting line is directly linked but you should narrow it down and report back which exact one did the trick

Yea I should have just done one at a time. I will set them to active one at a time and see which it is and report back

Ok I enabled them one at a time and this is the one that caused the light to come on. So, in order to disable the error checking for these bulbs you have to use this command in NCSexpert

FEHLERMELDUNG_CC_SL_V_L
nicht_aktiv
FEHLERMELDUNG_CC_SL_V_R
nicht_aktiv

It's on the spreadsheet as Angel Eyes but I don't have Angel Eyes so I guess if you have halogen headlights this is the command to disable this error.

Thanks for posting this thread. I had been searching for this information for a long time.

Do you know if the side lights flicker on start up?

Just wondering if the Warm and Cold checks for CC_SL_V_L & R need making NICHT_ACTIV?

Finally got to the stage where I could code my car.

I can confirm that this works on my pre-LCI Halogen late 2005 E91.

Many thanks again.

The warm and cold checks stop that flickering
