Can someone PLEASE help me get INPA setup?

So I've got the $100 cable. I can, and HAVE, coded lots of features to my car using NCSexpert. I've also performed the Alpina flash using WinKFP. No problems.

INPA? Can't do anything in there... Both black dots light to show connection, but whenever I go into the E90 menu, and try ANYTHING, it throws up some I300 error about not finding files.

I have a Check Engine Light that just popped up, and I really want to be able to check that out, which I found should be under "Functional Tools" or what-have-ya. Whenever I click it? ERROR.

So what am I doing wrong? Everything was installed and setup through BMW Coding Tools. INPA is the ONLY thing that doesn't work for me.

Thanks!!

What is the exact error. I was getting errors like that. What I did was Google each file that is said was missing and download it to the correct folder. That got it working for me.

Whenever I select "Functional Jobs" to read codes, it pops up and says:

Cannot find file .....SGDAT/Exx.ipo

I can double check that, but I'm pretty sure that's what it was saying.

So, does INPA not come with those files I guess?

Here is the Error:

C:\EC-APPS\INPA\SGDAT\EXX. ipo(1) : error I300: Error opening object file

And here is where I just found to download that file!

http://netload.in/dateiPC6CItSuFE/EXX.IPO.htm

I'll see if that works.

I think I got that error too. Just google exx.ipo.

Take a look at this topic, a person was having the same problem. There is a link in there for the file, but I'm not sure if it's still active.

It depends on where you downloaded INPA from. It may have come with the files for another generation but not all the necessary e9x files.

I would just download Rheingold ISTA (search the internet). Much more updated than INPA, easier to use, works with your coding cable and provides not only the error code, provide documentation/procedures on fixing the problem.

I've sent you a PM with links.

Install oldest version first then download the update the latest 3.44 archive and overwrite the Rheingold program files folder.
